DAYS 1 & 2 – The Old Jail Museum / The Promise / Harvest Moon Festival / Granbury Opera House

Visit the Nutt House Shoppes at the most historic courthouse square in Texas, enjoy shopping at over 40 unique boutiques and grab some lunch at one of the dozen eateries during your free time in Downtown Granbury. Built in 1885, The Old Jail Museum, served as the only jail for the city until 1978.   Then be awestruck at the award-winning production of The Promise. Narrated by a grandfather and his grandchildren, the story begins on the banks of the Paluxy River in Glen Rose, Texas, with live animals, and a cast and crew of over 200 dedicated Christians.  And the entertainment doesn’t stop there! On our way home, we venture back to Granbury for the 40th Annual Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts, showcasing over 90 artists and theGranbury Opera House for their production of Young Frankenstein.
