Tour Highlights

From Vicksburg to Tupelo, to the Gulf Shores of Biloxi, and everything in between, we’ll see all “The Hospitality State” has to offer.

DAY 1 - Downtown Vicksburg / McRaven Home

Nestled on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi, Vicksburg will be our first stop. Once we're done browsing the shops in downtown and having dinner in the lovely Garden District, it'll be time for a late night history lesson, if you're brave enough...First opened to the public in 1961, the McRaven Home has been featured on the Travel Channel, 48 Hours, in LIFE Magazine and countless local magazine and books about hauntings. Built and remodeled in three different time periods (1797, 1836 and 1849), every room of the McRaven Home is lavishly furnished and reserved with museum-quality. National Geographic Magazine has labeled it the "Time Capsule of the South."
(D) Overnight: Vicksburg, MS

DAY 2 – Vicksburg National Military Park / Eudora Welty House / Natchez Trace Parkway

The Siege of Vicksburg is commemorated at the vast Vicksburg Military Park, which encompasses the Vicksburg National Cemetery, the restored USS Cairo gunboat, and 1325 historical monuments on the 16-mile stretch of road. Designated a National Landmark, the Eudora Welty House is of exceptional national significance and the home where she wrote almost all of her fiction and essays. Glimpse a small waterfall from the overlook on our drive up the gorgeous Natchez Trace Parkway. Top off the evening in the heart of downtown Tupelo.

(B,L) Overnight: Tupelo

DAY 3 - Elvis Presley's Birthplace / Beau Rivage Resort

A trip to Mississippi wouldn't be complete unless you go back to where the King of Rock N' Roll began. Elvis Presley's Birthplace site includes his birthplace home, a museum, a chapel, and the Assembly of God Church building where the Presley family worshipped. Time to head back south where we're treated to two nights of royal accommodations at the glamorous and chic, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi.

(B,D) Overnight: Biloxi, MS

DAY 4 – Biloxi City Tour / Living Marine Adventure Cruise / Shrimp Boil

The pride and heritage of Biloxi comes alive on our city tour which includes the Beauvoir Mansion and Jefferson Davis Presidential Library. "How many legs does a shrimp have?" Once aboard The Living Marine Adventure Cruise, you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about this delicious southern delicacy; how to catch it, how to cook it, and most importantly, how to eat it!

(B,L) Overnight: Biloxi, MS

DAYS 5 & 6 – Swamp Tour / Charboneau Distillery / Antebellum Home Estate Tour

Gators and turtles and snakes, oh my! Our guided Swamp Tour guarantees you safe passage through one of Louisiana's last preserved wetlands and takes you through a Cajun village accessible only by boat. As you cruise through the bayou, you'll be entertained with folklore of Honey Island, told by your local guide. After our scaly adventure, we make our way to Natchez for a stroll on the town, maybe a little shopping and a southern libation. Located in one of the oldest standing buildings in the Mississippi Territory and Natchez circa 1789 King's Tavern is where we start our expedition of Charboneau Distillery. This family owned and operated micro-distillery not only produces delicious rum but offers a unique opportunity for visitors to see how it's done. Afterward, a farewell dinner, with a fantastic view. Before heading home, we'll do a driving tour of the Antebellum Style Homes that Natchez is so famous for and visit one of the prominent estates.

Day 5 (B,D) Overnight: Natchez, MS; Day 6 (B)
