Tour Highlights
Itinerary
Come along this spring as we venture
through the Texas Hill Country and take in the beauty of our southern region at
some of the best wineries in the Lone Star State.
Day 1 – The Vineyard at Florence /
Grape Creek Winery / Rockbox Theatre
Inspired by
Old World Italian architecture, the timber-framed tasting room, Villa Firenze,
on the grounds of The Vineyard at
Florence, begins our voyage.
Originally constructed in New York State, around 1850, it was carefully
transported to its current home where it was lovingly restored. After our visit, it’s off to
Fredericksburg where we partake in another great culinary and wine tasting exploration
at Grape Creek Winery, recipient of
over 200 awards in just two years. Rounding out our evening, an intimate
entertainment experience awaits us at the Rockbox
Theatre.

Day 2 – Texas Rangers Heritage Center
/ Becker Vineyards / Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center / EL Gaucho Winery
Filled with
rich history, the world-class Texas
Rangers Heritage Center, showcases and preserves the legend and lore of the
Texas Rangers, thus creating a living part of the present. From there, celebrating 20 years of viticulture and award-winning
winemaking, Becker Vineyards, is sure to impress us. It is home to
prestigious wines that have been served in the stateliest of settings,
including seven times in the White House. After fulfillment, we venture to The Lady
Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the
state’s botanical garden and arboretum of Texas, featuring over 800 species of
native Texas plants in both garden and natural settings. Today’s journey brings
us to one last stop at the El Gaucho
Winery, where several wine styles, including the world-famous Argentina
Malbec, awaits.

Day 3 – Scenic Wilderness Cruise
Admire
the beauty of the Colorado River Canyon along the 22 mile Scenic Wilderness Cruise. Keep an eye out for cascading waterfalls,
towering cliffs, and native Texas wildlife; as well as, some of the best bird watching
in the state. Each year, a colony of American Bald Eagles migrate to the
area. Fingers crossed, that we’ll catch
a glimpse of one of these majestic beauties before heading home!
