Marvel at the acres and acres of colorful tulips in Holland, Michigan and breathe in the clear air during your two-night stay at the luxurious Grand Hotel on remote Mackinac Island.

DAYS 1 & 2 – Gateway Arch Tour / Paddle-Wheel Riverboat

Time to unwind from our busy schedules and get acquainted with fellow passengers in anticipation of making memories on this incredible 11-day journey. Great monuments inspire you to explore new heights, but very few take you there! The tram at the Gateway Arch will lift you 630 feet up to the top of the tallest man-made monument in the United States. Then travel back in time on a replica 19th-century Paddle-Wheel Riverboat down the Mississippi River during our stopover in St. Louis.  

Day 1 (A) Overnight: Springfield, MO; Day 2 (B,D) Overnight: Effingham, IL

DAY 3 – Candles Holocaust Museum and Education Center

Discover the history of the Holocaust and the Mengele twins through the lens of the Candles Holocaust Museum and Education Center. Learn how Eva Kor, a holocaust twin, dedicates her life to honor fellow surviving Mengele twins and carry on the memories of those lost.

DAYS 4 & 5 – Wooden Shoe Factory / Windmill Island / Tulip Time Festival

The rich Dutch heritage and culture of Holland will be brought to life right before your eyes at the Tulip Time Festival, which is the largest of its kind in the United States and has been annual since 1929. Find out how authentic "Klompen" wooden shoes are made at the  Wooden Shoe Factory; and on Windmill Island, visit DeZwaan, a 250-year-old Dutch windmill brought over by the Netherlands.

DAYS 6 & 7 – Mackinaw City / Grand Hotel / Mackinac Carriage Tour

Offering everything from nostalgic to collectibles, blended with the hometown warmth of the restaurants, the avenues of Mackinaw City pose a truly genuine shopping and dining delight. After an afternoon of browsing, we'll board the ferry for Mackinac Island. You will never forget the spectacular views from a rocking chair overlooking the Straits of Mackinac from the world's longest porch during your relaxing stay at the Grand Hotel. The gentle clip-clop of horses is a familiar sound here on the island. Take a narrated group Carriage Tour, starting downtown and stopping along the way at points of interest, such as the Surrey Hills Museum and the Arch Rock.

DAYS 8 & 9 – Grand Rapids Public Museum

With fascinating exhibits on three floors, the Grand Rapids Public Museum offers a unique and entertaining experience for everyone. The next day, take in downtown St. Louis at your own pace. Tour Busch Stadium, immerse yourself into the sea life at World Aquarium, activate your imagination at the City Place Museum or just enjoy the downtown shops and eateries. 

Day 8 (B) Overnight: LaPorte, IN; Day 9 (B,A) Overnight: St. Louis, MO


DAY 10 – Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show

Tighten your bootstraps for a powerful performance at "The World's Most Visited Dinner Attraction," The Dixie Stampede. Featuring 32 magnificent horses, a cast of top-notch trick riders, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions, and a mouth-watering four-course feast. Now that's the way you wrap up a vacation!
