Tour Highlights
Wisconsin promises respite from July heat in Texas with cool breezes on boat rides and a tranquil island getaway. The Truman Presidential Museum, House on the Rock, Iron Mountain Iron Mine, and a cool ride through Fantastic Caverns are among other attractions on this great tour.
Itinerary
Departing Dallas/ Ft. Worth Metroplex
Day 1 –Pierce Arrow Show
Escape some of
the Texas heat on this motorcoach trip to the
cool region of Wisconsin.
Our first evening’s entertainment will
be a variety show at the Pierce Arrow
Theater, sure to bring a smile to your lips.
(D) Overnight: Branson, Missouri
Day 2 – Truman Library & Museum
Harry Truman
played an important part in our nation’s history during World War II. We’ll
have a unique opportunity to discover the personal side of the President and
his beloved wife Bess, at the Truman
Library & Museum in Independence.
(B) Overnight: Des Moines, Iowa
Days 3 & 4 – House on the Rock/ Upper
Dells Boat Ride
During the time
spent in the Dells, we’ll tour the House
on the Rock, a 14-room retreat built on a 40-foot chimney of rock. Filled
with a collection of such unusual collections – even a full-sized carousel -
you’re sure to be amazed! Also on the itinerary is a calm Upper Dells boat ride which glides along mysterious passageways
through a scenic canyon.
Day 3 (B,D) Day 4 (B) Overnights:
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Day 5 – Door County/
Fish Boil
A short drive
today will give us a chance to see some of Door County,
traveling to Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. We
can’t see all of its 300 miles of shorelines, but for dinner, we’ll savor the
fiery, flavorful favorite – a fish boil
- a dramatic tradition in this part of the country.

Days 6 & 7 – Island Resort/ Iron Mountain
Iron Mine/ Pontoon Boat Tour/ Luau
Enjoy the peace
and tranquility of a remote island getaway for the next two nights at the Four Seasons Resort in the North Woods.
Besides home-made cuisine on the first evening, we’ll hear the rich history of
the resort from the railroad of the 1900’s to the mystery of the mafia. On the
second day, we’ll make a side trip to the
Iron Mountain
Iron Mine in Michigan.
Ride the underground train through underground drifts and tunnels to watch
expert miners operate modern mining machinery. A thrilling experience you’ll
never forget! We return to the resort and this afternoon relax on a guided pontoon boat tour of the North Woods
while traveling up the Menominee River and around Miscauno Island.
Wear your most colorful shirt tonight for an evening of tropical fun at a
Hawaiian Luau on Miscauno Island.
Day 6 (B,D); Day 7 (B,D) Overnights: Miscauno Island/
Pembine, Wisconsin
Day 8 – Milwaukee
Before leaving
the state of Wisconsin, we’ll take a lunch break
in Milwaukee
with sightseeing included, as time permits.
(B) Overnight: Bloomington, Illinois
Day 9 – Lincoln Country/ Fantastic Caverns
Traveling
through Springfield,
we’ll see several buildings made famous by President
Lincoln, the Old State Capitol, the Lincoln Depot and the Lincoln Home
National Historic Site. Another c-o-o-l respite from the heat will be a
ride-through cave tour at Fantastic
Caverns in Springfield
– a comfortable 60 degrees year-round.
(B,D) Overnight: Springfield, Missouri
Day 10 – Homeward Bound
You’re sure to
have many pleasant memories to share with friends at home after this delightful
trip to the North.
