Itinerary
Departing Dallas/ Ft.Worth and Little
Rock
Day 1 – Memphis
Travel country roads and lanes aglow with exhilarating natural
fall beauty. Get your running shoes on and be a part of this all-encompassing
trip to see the fabulous fall foliage colors of New
England.

Day 2 – The BlueGrassState
Nashville, or “Music City,
U.S.A.,” is our lunchtime
stop as we head for Kentucky, the “BlueGrassState.” We’ll spend the
night in Bardstown, where we have a special evening planned for you at the Old Stable Restaurant.

Day 3 – My Old
Kentucky Home/ Appalachians
Stephen Foster’s Old
Kentucky Home is among the many sights you’ll see in Bardstown. Step into
the world of the antebellum south during the days of the 19th
century. We’ll drive on to Ohio in the
foothills of the Appalachian
Mountains.
(B) Overnight: Mansfield, Ohio
Day 4 – Niagara Falls/ Maid of the
Mist
Today, we’re bound for Niagara Falls,
or “Honeymooners’ Paradise” on the Canadian
side. We’re in for a real thrill! – the Maid
of the Mist boat ride! Water rushes all around you as you “soak” in the
excitement. A souvenir raincoat helps keep you dry as we explore the roar of
the Falls. After dinner, we’ll see a spectacular view of the Falls under colored floodlights, which illuminate the
thundering Falls.
(B,D) Overnight: Niagara Falls, Ontario
Day 5 – Thousand Islands Cruise
This morning, we have a last look at majestic Niagara Falls. Next, we’re
on our way to one of the most beautiful waterways in America
– the Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence Seaway. We’ll cruise through these
beautiful islands, many of which are privately owned.

York
Day 6 – Lake Placid/ Ausable Chasm
Today, we’ll drive through the spectacularly beautiful and
wild Adirondack
Mountains. The area
is now a permanent wilderness, never to be commercially developed. After a
lunch stop at Lake Placid, we’ll
drive to one of America’s
great scenic wonders, Ausable Chasm,
where mighty sandstone cliffs were formed an estimated 500 million years ago.
We will ferry across Lake Champlain to our overnight stop in Vermont.
(B) Overnight: Burlington, Vermont
Day 7 – Covered
Bridges/ Morse Farm/ Tram Ride
We begin a circle tour of the Green Mountains today.
Spectacular views are ours as we drive through the apple country to Middlebury.
During a stop near Waitsfield, we’ll see an oft-photographed old covered bridge, built in 1833. In Montpelier, we’ll see the State Capitol Building, an impressive
granite structure with a gilded dome. One of the highlights of this tour is a
visit to Morse Farm for a “sugar on
snow” treat and a chance to purchase maple syrup to take to friends and family
back home. Exploring the White Mountains, we’ll see the celebrated Franconia Notch. An aerial tramway ride to the top of CannonMountain
will provide spectacular views of the vista below.

Hampshire
Day 8 – Boston Highlights
We’re off to historic Boston,
a contrast of past and present. Highlights of our Boston tour include Bunker Hill, the Boston Common, the USS Constitution,
OldNorthChurch, Freedom Trail, Beacon Hill and
Back Bay.
(B,D) Overnight: Boston, Massachusetts
Day 9 – New York City
Leaving Boston, we drive
through Rhode Island and Connecticut
to exciting, fascinating New York City. Our sightseeing tour will include
Times Square, the Theatre District, Garment District, Greenwich Village, the
Bowery, Chinatown, Wall Street, and the UnitedNationsBuilding. We’ll have a
spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park and pay respect at
Ground Zero.

York
Day 10 – Fall
Colors
We depart New York
via the Lincoln Tunnel and hit the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Crossing one of the
world’s most gorgeous rivers, the Susquehanna, we have a wonderful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
(No Meals) Overnight:
St. Clairsville, Ohio
Day 11 – Kentucky Foliage/
Historic Home
On our southward journey, if we’re in luck, the mountain foliage will have begun to
change into fall dress, providing us with another riot of colors. In Bowling Green, we’ll have dinner in a historic home.

Day 12 – Farewell
Dinner
Leaving Kentucky, we make
our way through Tennessee into the neighboring
state of Arkansas, saying goodbye to our Arkansas friends. We’ll
gather once more for a farewell dinner on this memorable trip.

Day 13 – Homeward
Bound
You have seen miles and miles of beautiful, majestic
mountains, and have been greeted by the fiery colors of New
England in autumn. History has come alive in so many ways that you
have much to reflect upon as we head for home.
